Maurine Bain Roberts Hickory Flat – Maurine Bain Roberts, 91, passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2020. She and her twin sister were born in Hickory Flat on April 17, 1928 to the late Bradley K. and Azilee Lewis Hudspeth. Anyone who lived in the area, knew how much she loved her flower gardens as well as the occasional truck patch. Her other hobbies including sewing, arts and crafts, as well as Bingo and working out with her friends. Maurine Bain Roberts was a long time member of First Baptist Church in Hickory Flat. She enjoyed decorating and coordinating for Young At Heart and other church events. Visitation will be on Saturday, March 7, 2020 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. with Brother Johnny Rakestraw officiating. For those who wish to attend, graveside and burial service at Pine Grove Cemetary will be immediately following the funeral service. Mrs. Roberts is survived by two daughters, Evelyn Bain and Melissa Bain Rattle; two sons, Barry Bain and Johnny Bain; one brother, Lewis Hudspeth; five grandchildren: Wayne Childers, Tammy Henson, Jason Bain, Jesse Bain and Ian Rattle; seven great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Bain; her twin sister, Maxine Baker; an infant sister, Christine Hudspeth; and three brothers, Will T.
