New Albany-Bobby Allen Barnes Jr., 60, departed this life on Monday, March 21, 2022 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford. He was born September 6, 1961, to Bobby Allen Barnes Sr. and Jessie Gerlean Kent Barnes. Bobby worked as an industrial mechanic for 24 years at Piper Impact, then later he worked at Ashley Furniture until his health no longer allowed him to. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and just being outdoors. Bobby was a one-of-a-kind, and told it like it was. He cherished his grand-babies, and spending time with them was his favorite above all. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends. Services will be Friday, March 25, 2022 at 3:00pm with Bro Steve Denton officiating. A visitation will be Thursday from 5-8pm. Both will take place at United Funeral Service. United is honored to be entrusted with these arrangements. Bobby is survived by two daughters, Joni Barnes (Larry), and Sara Barnes, one son; Shane Barnes (Jennifer); seven grandchildren; Dalton Nichols, Rebecca Nichols (Dylan), Elizabeth Nichols, Grayson Dains, Bryson Dains, Myah Barnes, and Raylon Barnes, and one great-grandchild; Jaxon Goin, and one on the way.
