Anita Faye Rakestraw Pannell, 63, passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2019 at Baptist Memorial Hospital – Union County. She was born January 12, 1956 in Union County to Joe and Victoria Dillard Rakestraw. She was the director of D.H.S. in Union County. She enjoyed quilting and loved spending time with her family. Funeral services will be at 11:00a.m. Friday, April 5, 2019 at United Funeral Service with Bro. Mike Powell officiating. Burial will be at Ellistown Cemetery. United Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements. She is survived her husband, Mike Pannell; five sons, Casey Gentry (Lana) of Olive Hill, TN, Jacob Gentry of Blue Springs, Bruce Gentry (Desiree) of Corinth, James Pannell (Melanie) of Blue Springs and Josh Pannell of Austin, TX; four sisters, Judy Ayers (Steve) of Myrtle, Linda Hyers (Terry) and Glenda Rollings, both of Smithville, TN and Vicky Rakestraw of Plantersville, MS; one brother, Eddie Rakestraw (Robin) of Blue Springs; and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Larry Rakestraw and Bobby Rakestraw. Visitation will be at funeral home on Thursday, April 4, 2019 from 5:00p.m. till 8:00p.m. and on Friday from 10:00a.m. until service time.
